A running record of what's changed in Aletheia, newest first. Mostly small things, a few of them load-bearing.
v0.4 — Portraits you can give
Start a portrait for someone else. Choose "As a gift", add their email and a note, and you get two links: one for their circle to answer, one for the reveal itself.
Only the recipient's inbox can open a gift — a six-digit code proves it's them, and claiming the reveal is how they join Aletheia. No account until the moment it matters.
As the gifter, you see how many people have answered and nothing else. The words, and the portrait they become, belong to the recipient alone.
Schedule the reveal email for the day itself, or hand over the link yourself when the moment is right. You'll get a note when they open it — and they can decline, which deletes everything gathered, permanently.
The seasons arrived: a page for every sign, each able to start a collection from that sign's own questions. Add your birthday and your portrait carries your season.
There's a tip jar now, on the reveal and in the footer, for whoever feels moved. Entirely optional, warmly received.
v0.3 — Easier with a keyboard or screen reader
Magic-link sign-in now returns you to the page you were headed for, matching the other sign-in options.
If you use a screen reader, the step-by-step flows announce errors as they happen, and your keyboard focus lands where you'd expect as you move from step to step.
Every button and link shows a clear focus outline when you tab to it, and the cursor becomes a pointer over anything you can click.
Fixed a few tap targets that were too small on a phone, and a header email address that used to wander off the edge on narrow screens.
v0.2 — More ways in, fewer dead ends
Sign in with a password, a link sent to your email, or a six-digit code, all from the same screen. Use whichever one you'll actually remember.
The account and sign-in emails now look and read like the rest of Aletheia. The old ones had the charm of a shipping receipt.
You can report a bug or send an idea right from the footer.
Sign-in links survive the scanners some inboxes run before you ever click, and following one takes you back to wherever you were headed.
If you're already signed in, opening Aletheia goes straight to your portraits. It used to stop at the login screen first, which helped no one.
The collection builder holds onto your edits when you step back to change a question, so revisiting an earlier step no longer undoes your work.
People answering your questions get the thank-you only once their words are safely saved, and the page they open shows up right away, even before the rest of it finishes loading.
A couple of rough edges are gone: a delete that fails now tells you so rather than leaving a blank page, and deadline dates show the right day wherever you are in the world.
v0.1 — First public release
Put together a set of questions and send them to the people who know you best. Think of it as homework you get to assign your friends.
Their answers get woven into one portrait of how you actually come across, and everyone who answers gets a small reflection of their own back the moment they finish.

You sign in with a password and can reset it the day you forget it. Shared links show a real preview instead of a naked URL, and the Privacy and Terms pages sit in the footer.
